Shawn Katz is a Principal and co-founder of KUB. He is responsible for overseeing all functions of the business with an emphasis on acquisitions, investment strategy, capital markets and financial and risk management. During his career, Shawn has overseen acquisitions of 9.1 million square feet of commercial real estate in the US, deployed over $450 million of investor equity, and completed transactions of $1.2 billion in value. Prior to co-founding KUB, Shawn was Senior Vice President at Rosemont Realty, where he managed the company’s acquisition department and was a member of the company’s investment committee. During his tenure at Rosemont, Shawn sourced and underwrote acquisitions across a variety of asset classes and directed all of the company’s research, property evaluation and analytics. Shawn also served as President of a Rosemont subsidiary company, managing 2 million square feet of commercial real estate and supervising portfolio management, investor relations and back-office functions. Before joining Rosemont, Shawn was a member of the investment team at Wolf International, an investment management and advisory firm specializing in alternative investments and hedge funds. Shawn has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity University.
Roger Bittenbender is a Principal and co-founder of KUB. He is responsible for overseeing all functions of the business with an emphasis on transaction sourcing, acquisitions, property development, property and construction management, and design. During his career, Roger has managed, developed and owned real estate valued in excess of $130 million. Prior to co-founding KUB, Roger was Managing Partner of Calliope Associates, a New York real estate firm that owns and operates office and retail property in the heart of SoHo. His work at Calliope and elsewhere has helped to launch Roger’s successful career as a real estate entrepreneur in New York City, with a strong focus on boutique residential development projects. Roger has always taken a keen interest in clean, simple design, and has cultivated a comprehensive understanding of the building process. This attention to detail has led him to wear many hats, acting as designer, GC, and project manager on a variety of projects. Roger has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Fordham University.
Jack Fuchs is a Managing Director and a member of the investment committee at KUB. He is responsible for business development and investment strategy. Prior to joining KUB, Jack worked at Accenture where he was responsible for all aspects of the commercial real estate due diligence and advisory team. During his career, Jack has underwritten over $8 billion in CMBS transactions, $2 billion in acquisitions, and advised on over $7 billion in commercial loan sales across all property types in both the US and Europe. He has extensive knowledge of commercial real estate including asset management, development, acquisitions, underwriting, valuations and financial modeling. Jack also serves as a Principal of Spring11, an international commercial real estate consulting and advisory firm. Jack graduated with honors from the University of St Andrews in Scotland with a MA in Economics & Ancient History.
Christine Rivera is the Property and Administrative Manager at KUB. She is responsible for management of the company’s commercial assets as well company back office functions. Prior to joining KUB, Ms. Rivera was a Tenant Services Coordinator/Administrator at Shorenstein Realty Services. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL.
Sean Whalen is Senior Project Designer for KUB. He is primarily responsible for synthesizing work between the design and consultant teams throughout the schematic, design development, construction document and administration phases of KUB’s projects. Prior to joining KUB, Sean worked at a boutique architectural firm based in Brooklyn focusing on high-end design driven interior renovations. Sean has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Architecture from Pratt Institute.
